Group economics can be a powerful strategy to improve the economic (and social) mobility of disadvantaged groups of people. Essentially, it is when a group of people use their economic resources for a common goal. In this quick read, the goal is to provide greater economic mobility for people of color.

If you’re looking to put this strategy into action somewhere here are three practical actions you can take for this holiday season:

1) SHOP BLACK ON BLACK FRIDAY

Here’s a link to a list of 28 black-owned shops for Black Friday 2020:

2) Don’t Underestimate the Power of a Google Search

Next time you’re looking to buy something online, write ‘black-owned’ before the product name… ‘black-owned restaurants’, ‘black-owned clothing brands’, ‘black-owned linen companies’, etc..

3) ABOMB | A Black-Owned Merch Business

If you’re too lazy to do either of the first two steps, the above link is directly to a small concious clothing brand that I own. Supporting the company not only allows me to bring you all content such as this, but also supports educational resources for children with incarcerated parents (25% of all profits are donated to Pure Heart Foundation as they continue to work toward breaking the cycle of incarceration).

Peace and Love Brothers and Sisters!
